Nottingham Trent Universities student radio station, FlyFM, is based in the new Student Union (opened in September 2013). So I have asked some of the students working in the studio to complete the survey below to gain a quick insight about their feelings on the design of the space provided.

You need to be comfortable when being creative

If the room is quite warm, as it is small it makes me a bit sleepy. Other than that the studio doesn't really affect my mood.

Data conclusion;
80% were happy with the space provided, and size wise 50% were happy with the size of it and the other 50% believe it to bee too small. Overall 80% believe that the design of the space has an affect on their mood, more a multitude of reasons such as comfort, creativity and windows not being there. The main design features suggested were windows/natural lighting, wire organisation and having the ability to stand. All of these results are useful and I will take them into consideration when designing.
British Grove Studios - My intention was to visit and interview a sound technician at British Grove recording Studios, sadly they studios were constantly busy so I was unable to visit. However I have been informed that I am still welcome to visit if needs be in the future.
