TRACK OF THE MONTH - APOLLO BY DECO

Deco's latest track 'Apollo' has a feel good driving rhythm to lift your dancing spirits. Apollo is written about someone you least expect, helping you get rid of your demons and seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Their elevated sound reaches out to the current pop indie scene, mixed with an electronic sound. Chilled atmospheric verses are a nice distinction from the four to the floor dance beats of the bridge and chorus. Deco's lead singer provides Bastille-esque vocals, with strong vibrato sounds to take the listener into their own world.
"With soaring Duran Duran like melodies and underlying eeriness of Joy Division, DECO's back catalogue of honest pop tunes is admirable. Since forming in Nottingham in 2014, their clever live show has seen them on tour with the likes of Coasts & Young Kato as well as opening for Depeche Mode at Birmingham's Genting arena. After lots of Radio 1 airplay so far this year with 'Turn Around', produced by Edward Turner (Adam French, Young Kato), these boys are ones to watch in 2016."
